Abstract

Sports lawns are specific sort of lawns which main function is to ensure confortable and safe sport and always ensure esthetic look. Differently than other lawns, sports lawns are tread down intensively, frequantly and mowed lower. Because of this reasons the growing conditions of sports lawns are much more complicated than other sort of lawns.Fertilization is necessary to ensure the functionality and longevity of sports lawns. In intensively and regularly watered sports lawns mineral fertilizers washes away and pollutes ground water. As a result starts the deficit of mineral materials in sports lawn. Organic fertilizers has slow and long effect and are resistant to degradation. One of the indicators ensuring sport lawn logevity and quality is the condition of lawn herbs roots. The highest amount of sport lawn herbs roots usually is about 15 cm below ground. All investigated organic fertilizers essentially increases sport lawn quality rates.
