Specyfika regionalna w ksztalceniu nauczycieli polonistów na Litwie

Abstract

The article gives an overview of the research and didactical persuits of the Department of Polish Philology in Vilnius Pedagogical University at the last decade. These persuits have been directed into the research of the regional peculiarities of the language, literature and culture of the Vilnius region. This is iliustrated by giving examples of the titles of the doctoral theses and course works of the university's staff and students, as well as the academic subjects, especially for MA degree that help to study and learn about the regional identity, and participation of the department in the inner and outer symposia on the mentioned topic. The article suggests the idea that the analysis of the regional theme should not loose its topicality in the united Europe, especially because it is through the regional that something that is most valuable and universal surfaces.
