Abstract (en)
Removal of anionic copper phthalocyanine dye from aąueous solutions has been investigated using the sorption as well as oxidative treatment methods. The sorption of- metai complex dye by activated carbon, weak basic anion exchanger and chelating ion exchanger was found to be dependent on various factors such as initial dye solution concentration, pH, contact time and the amount of sorbent. The experimental data shovved that the sorption rate and removal efficiency was higher from acidic solutions. Oxidative treatment by potassium permanganate was accomplished by ion exchange procedure.
