Abstract

The thesis provides an overview of the concept of children’s motor development, motor development principles, assessment and methods of treatment and rehabilitation, and analysis of peculiarities of physiotherapy treatment methods applied for children with developmental disorders. To achieve the aim of the research paper the following objectives were set: to compare the peculiarities of physiotherapy treatment applied for children with developmental disorders, emphasizing the examination, procedure performance and result evaluation based on Lithuanian and foreign experience; to assess parents’ opinion towards the use of physiotherapy for children with developmental disorders; to evaluate the physiotherapy treatment impact on the functional mobility of children with developmental disorders (case study); to evaluate expert opinion on physiotherapy treatment; to develop a representative physiotherapy model on the basis of results of empiric research.[...].
