Abstract
Mirco and nano size carbon structures were deposited on Ni/Si substrates from an argon-acetylene gas mixture at a atmospheric pressure using a plasma jet technique. The Ar/C2H2 gas volume ratio was 100:1, 200:1, and 250:1, meanwhile the plasma flow temperature ranking from 800 to 1000C. Sem results indicated that on the surface of the substrate treated at 1000C, formation of carbon nanotubes of 200-300 nm diameter were found. Raman spectroscopy measurements indicated that the spectra have bands related to carbon nanostructure.
