The main objective was to investigate and compare the effect of additional spraying from two different biological preparations on maize yield and yield quality under different nitrogen fertilizer rates. Field experiment was carried out in 2019 at Experimental Station of VMU Agriculture Academy. The experiment was carried out to investigate and compare the effect of different biological preparations on maize productivity at different nitrogen fertilizer rates. The subject of the study – common maize (Zea mays L.). The biological preparations that were used was the phosphorus releasing matter in soil and the complex of amino acids and microelements. Controls were two test variants. In the research we found out, that the combination of phosphorus releasing substances and amino acid with microelement complex in soil at the N140 nitrogen fertilizer rate significantly increased yield, terrestrial green mass and dry matter yield of maize. Not only the mixture of biological preparations significantly increased the yield of maize, but also a higher rate of nitrogen fertilizer (N140). In all studied variants there was a significant difference between them when the nitrogen fertilizer rate was increased to N140.
