The average density of the Red-breasted flycatcher in studied area was 1.62 pair/100 ha forest, maximum were recorded 7 singing males in 1 km2 of forest landscape. The Red-breasted flycatcher for breeding selects premature and mature, higher than average stocking density stands that average height is 24 meters. The Red-breasted flycatcher occurs in the areas were canopy density up to 10 m height is significantly lower than average and undergrowth of bush and low trees is rare. In the Red-breasted flycatcher habitats were observed significantly higher volumes of standing deciduous deadwood as well as lying or coniferous deadwood were not influenced the distribution of this bird. The Red-breasted flycatcher is often observed close to wet open water areas and further then 90 m from the stand edge.
