Straipsnyje parodoma, jog pedagogų požiūris į neįgaliųjų integraciją nėra pakankamai palankus nepriklausomai nuo respondentų amžiaus ar lyties, profesinio pasirengimo ar įgytos kvalifikacijos, darbo mokykloje stažo ar dabartinės jų darbovietės, turimo darbo su neįgaliais asmenimis patirties. Drauge akcentuojama, kad tokią situaciją galėjo sąlygoti pedagoginiame darbe kylančios problemos, nepakankamas pasirengimas darbui su neįgaliaisiais.
The article reveals an insufficient level of Lithuanian teachers’ attitude towards integration of handicapped children, based on the research materials. The investigation was carried out in two stages: in 1999, a pilot survey was conducted among 90 teachers and in 2001 the main research was carried out with 556 Lithuanian teachers. The research data revealed that the main factor of teachers’ positive attitude is parents’ positive attitude towards teaching their healthy and handicapped children in the same school or even in the same classroom. The vast majority of Lithuanian parents approve of such integration idea, but there are some who do not understand the essence of this kind of integration
