The interest in corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been increasing during the last years. The goal of this article is to examine the School of Economics and Business (Kaunas University of Technology) as socially responsible organization in terms of employees. Corporate social responsibility has been analyzed for a long time. Plenty of scientists created new theories of corporate social responsibility. The most relevant theories are Carroll’s CSR pyramid, coding scheme and the theory of stakeholders, which allow assuming that if the organization wants to stay socially responsible, it has to take care of its stakeholders, and its internal and external environment. To confirm the insights of CSR researchers, it was analyzed how corporate social responsibility is applied in practice. The survey was given for the academic and administrative staff of the School of Economics and Business. The results of survey revealed that the majority of employees agree that the organization meets the criteria of corporate social responsibility. Most of the respondents are satisfied with the relationships and environment in the School of Economics and Business, however, the employees are not satisfied with their relationship with the Heads of Department and Dean’s office. Also, another problem is the poor dissemination of information to the employees about social and environmental campaigns held by the School of Economics and Business. Hence, these spheres should be improved in pursuance of remaining as a socially responsible organization.
