Aim is to disclose additional indicators of health status changes alongside to health related quality of life (WHOQoL-Bref) and clinical symptoms during hospital treatment (HT) of depressive patients. Methods: The 54 depressive patients were investigated twice during HT by using WHOQoL-Bref (Cronbach alpha: for physical domain – 0.87, psychological domain – 0.75, social domain – 0.57, environmental domain – 0.74), Depression symptoms scale (Cronbach alpha – 0.938) and Self-rated health (SRH) questionnaire arranged in accordance with health concept proposed by WHO, (Cronbach alpha: for physical health – 0.914, psychological health – 0.901, social health – 0.886 and for overall SRH – 0.950). Results: During the hospital treatment the severity of clinical symptoms decreased significantly ( p50.01), increased the value of four domains of WHOQoL-Bref (p50.01). The value of physical, psychological health and overall SRH of patients became better ( p50.01), social health did not change significantly. Linear regression analysis revealed that the relationship between Depression symptoms scale and SRH questionnaire’s physical health was significant. Conclusion: Possibility to arrange scales sensitive to different aspects of health changes in depressive patients during the period of hospital treatment is confirmed.
