Abstract

This work analyses various new trends of investigations in contemporary studies of art history. The present paper reviews the changing of methods and principles of art history in a general way. Much attention is given to current development of new scientific paradigm (especially of history, social science and philosophy), which causes rapid methodological innovations - emerging comparative methodology and complex point of view. Be sides this work focuses on the spreading influences of structuralism. As the study shows, it deter mined refusal of descriptive methods and caused attempts of deep analyses, thinking of the dynamics of art issues spreading through the centuries. However, poststructuralism predetermined the crisis of methods in art history studies.
