Agricultural contamination caused by the use of animal manure and mineral fertilizers to fertilize crops. Furthermore, other sources of soil nutrients - seeds, seedlings, unharvested crops - make up a very small part of the pollution balance. The use of fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture practice has the most significant impact on soil and water pollution. Moreover, agricultural contamination is one of the most important factors affecting the condition of lakes and ponds. The amount of nutrients leached from the basin is influenced by climate, hydrology, topography, soil, land use, fertilization and tillage. During farming, fertilizing the fields with nitrogen and phosphorus, some of these substances enter the waters, promote water eutrophication, and change the conditions for the development of biocenoses. Diffuse pollution is a process that is completely unavoidable, but can be reduced by certain measures.
