Abstract (en)
The focus of this article is to summarize, in an extended abstract format, the empirical research on the BASIS-A Inventory (Wheeler, Kern, & Curlette, 1993) from 2000 to 2006. It complements and updates the research findings available in the BASIS-A Inventory Technical Manual (Curlette, Wheeler, & Kern, 1997) and in Psychological Fingerprints: Lifestyle Interventions (Eckstein & Kern, 2002). This article provides a concise summary of each of the 42 primary research studies that used the BASIS-A Inventory in terms of purpose, sample, instruments, procedures, results, and conclusions. Based on this overview, the article concludes with suggestions for future research.
