The Zhuangzi is one of the most important texts of Daoism that hasn’t lost its charm and relevance up to these days. The sinologists, literati, philosophers and ordinary readers are still interested in this text and display a variety of opinions concerning its authorship as well as the true meaning of its ideas. This book presents the most important and popular allegories and histories of the Zhuangzi. A masterpiece of art, it is not designed to be translated verbatim. It is rather an a empt to present the fundamental philosophical concepts of Daoism as they reveal themselves in the multiple alegories of the Zhuangzi.
