Pateikiami empirinio tyrimo duomenys apie penktos klasės mokinių požiūrį į Lietuvos pilietį ir pilietines vertybes. Tai mokinių nuomonė apie pilietines vertybes, išdėstyta eksperimentatorės ir straipsnio autorės. Tenka konstatuoti, kad penktos klasės mokinių požiūris į demokratinei gyvensenai būtinas vertybes nėra pakankamo, deramo lygmens. Mokinių vertybinė nuostata, orientuota į pilietiškumą, sąlygota realios gyvenimo situacijos ir amžiaus psichologinių ypatumų
Lithuania has just recently freed itself from the soviet regime. As the social system changed values changed as well. Modern school in Lithuania has set as its aim to up bring citizens having a sense of duty, knowing their rights, highly patriotic citizens taking active part in thee life of the whole society. The author of the artele had the goal to make clear the point of view of the fifth form pupils in our Republic upon a citizen and what values he should acquire, the aim of the research was to get data about values among the fifth formers and the tendencies predominating in their Summing up the results of the research it is possible to draw a conclusion that: the fifth formers have values oriented towards values common to all citizens, namely: responsibility, love to their parents. The motives to express their citizenship are based on their psychological characteristics which depend upon their age and the real situations in our life
