Abstract (en)
The hairy rove beetle is locally distributed in small sub-populations in Lithuania. All known sub-populations in the country are in open grasslands and pastures, close to the excrement of cows and horses. The most important measure to be recommended for the protection of the species is the encouraging of extensive pasturage of cows and horses, especially in unproductive sandy areas.
