Straipsnyje pateikti nauji paplitimo duomenys apie 8 mažai ištirtas ir retas Lietuvos faunos drugių rūšis. Iš viso registruotos 8 naujos radvietės keturiuose Lietuvos rajonuose. Nurodytos kiekvienos rūšies aptikimo vietos, datos, individų skaičius ir rinkėjas.

Dissection of genitalia has been established as a method for taxonomy of Microlepidoptera many decades ago. It is indispensable for the species description and in many cases necessary for identification. Most known suggestions for standardization of techniques for Microlepidoptera have been made by G. Robinson in 1976. He stated, inter alia, that a genitalia preparation should be preserved and displayed with as much clarity as possible. It is particularly important for the very small moths. The insufficient quality of preparations, especially of type specimens, can be a serious problem for further investigation. In order to obtain high quality of preparation and to avoid unwanted scales, dust and debris in genitalia slides we suggest few refinements: a) to clean the scales in glycerol as much as possible, and afterwards boil genitalia in 10% KOH repeatedly; b) to remove phallus and anal tube (if not done in previous procedures, especially in glycerol) from male genitalia capsule while genitalia are in the drop (first; on separate glass microscope slide) of Euparal; c) to transfer abdominal pelt from alcohol to the first drop of Euparal and remove possibly remaining scales, dust and debris; d) to place genitalia capsule, phallus and abdominal pelt to the second (final) drop (on separate glass microscope slide) of Euparal and cover with the coverslip. These procedures can essentially reduce amount of redundant objects and hereby improve the quality of the genitalia slide. It should be done with exceptional accuracy to avoid possible distortion parts of genitalia.

First records of Elachistinae are given from Thailand. Ten species of Elachistinae are reported, eight of which are described as new: Urodeta longa Sruoga & Kaila sp. nov., Elachista buszkoi Sruoga & Kaila sp. nov., E. oryx Sruoga & Kaila sp. nov., E. pellineni Sruoga & Kaila sp. nov., E. capricornis Sruoga & Kaila sp. nov., E. phichaiensis Sruoga & Kaila sp. nov., E. loeiensis Sruoga & Kaila sp. nov. and E. siamensis Sruoga & Kaila sp. nov. The new species are diagnosed and illustrated with photographs of the adults and genitalia. One species remains unidentifi ed to species level.

Straipsnyje pateikti nauji paplitimo duomenys apie 13 mažai ištirtų Lietuvos faunos Elachistinae, 2 iš jų – Elachista dispilella ir E. dispunctella – naujos Lietuvos faunoje. Iš viso registruota 16 naujų radviečių 11-oje Lietuvos rajonų. Kiekvienai rūšiai nurodytos tikslios sugavimo vietos, datos, individų skaičius ir rinkėjas. Pateiktos naujų Lietuvos faunoje rūšių identifikacijai svarbių morfologinių struktūrų iliustracijos.

Three new species of Elachistidae: Elachistinae from northern India are described: Elachista arcuata sp. nov., Urodeta jurateae sp. nov., and U. pectena sp. nov. The new species are diagnosed and illustrated with photographs of the adults and genitalia.

Two sibling species, Leptidea sinapis and L. juvernica, occur sympatrically in Lithuania. Only a few papers dealing with Leptidea species distribution in Lithuania have been published during the past 15 years. The purpose of our research is to examine intra- and interspecific genital measurement variations in L. sinapis and L. juvernica and to report new distributional records for L. juvernica from Lithuania. The butterflies were collected at 13 localities in 10 administrative districts of Lithuania from 2005 to 2010. Our study has shown that morphological approach based on measurements of length of phallus and saccus in the male genitalia, and length of ductus bursae in the female genitalia can be used for separating the specimens of Leptidea collected in Lithuania. Since 2004, L. juvernica was considered as rare species in Lithuania, but our findings suggest that L. juvernica can be widespread in the country. The examined material yielded new distributional records of L. juvernica at 9 new localities in 7 administrative districts of Lithuania. We expect the species to occupy far more sites than have been recorded until now.

Straipsnyje pateikiami duomenys apie 5 Molėtų rajonui naujas Elachistidae rūšis. Iš viso šiame rajone dabar yra registruota 13 Elachistidae rūšių. Nurodoma drugių sugavimo vieta, laikas, individų skaičius bei rinkėjas. Pirmą kartą nustatyta neįprasta Elachista freyerella patelės signos forma. Tyrimų medžiaga saugoma Lietuvos edukologijos universitete, Biologijos ir Chemijos katedroje.

The Elachistidae fauna of the Caucasus is outlined. A total of 47 species are listed, three of which remain unidentified to species level. Three species are described as new: Perittia prolixa sp. nov., Elachista candidella sp. nov. and E. suffusca sp. nov. The new species are diagnosed and illustrated with photographs of the adults and genitalia. Twenty-seven species and the genus Perittia Stainton are reported for the first time from Caucasus.
