When people are communicating, working together it is necessary to coordinate constantly intercommunication and understanding. It is very important to know that every person is individuality besides the situation can provoke one or other way of behavior. Knowledge of roles in the group can help to reach the more effective communication also the cooperation in groups. The purpose of work. To survey the roles of workers of Utena physical culture and sport center and their behavior in groups and in the different contact situations. 100 workers of Utena physical culture and sport centre were questioned. Conclusions. 1. After setting the dominant roles of Utena PCSC workers in the season and in other time it can be seen that dominated the roles of Company worker (20,48 and 21,48 percent), of Team worker (20,82 and 19,11 percent). The distinct were the roles of Performer/Finishing person (18,77 and 17,75 percent), Resources investigator (11,43 and 12,63 percent). Not very distinct were the roles of Observer – assessor (10,24 and 9,9 percent), Former (8,53 and 7,68 percent), Inspirer (5,12 and 6,14 percent), President (4,61 and 4,95 percent). During the season and not mostly dominated the roles of Company worker and Team worker. The people playing these roles working together encourage the harmony of group and were the team motivators (Everard and Morris, 1997). 2. We established that for Utena PCSC workers in season were mostly acceptable the Fifth and Fourth alternatives – respectively 37 percent and 25 percent, which, after Jucevičienė (1994), are the best for the behavior of workers in group, because there in group is trying to take a creative decision, is reaching the aim of group and is paying the attention to the maintaining of good relations in group, the members of group are inclined to the compromise in order to take a decision. The choice of this behavior, when is trying to make a decision using the method of compromise and consensus, strengthen the team. Not in the season also dominated the Fifth and Fourth alternatives (respectively 32 percent and 30 percent of respondents). The behavior of group is important to itself taking the decision in this time, because it is created the proper communicating surroundings and appear the mutual understanding and help. 3. Analyzing the communication skills of Utena PCSC workers it was noticed that in season and not in the season the results are only average (45 and 43 percent). Further the workers estimated the skills of communication as good ones (33 and 30 percent), poorly (22 and 25 percent), very good (1 and 0 percent). The survey showed that the communication skills of Utena PCSC workers are stronger in season. After estimating the findings in season the average evaluating decreased by 3 percent, good increased by 3 percent, poor decreased by 3 percent and very good increased by 1 percent
