The field experiments on testing ecological stability 12 varieties and numbers of a cocksfoot (Dactylis glomerata L.) were carried out at the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture in Dotnuva in 2002-2005. ANOVA and regression analysis were employed to draw the coinclusions. Results of disperse analysis showed that dry matter yield was essentially influenced by the year of trials varieties and their interaction (P < 0,01). . On the basis joint regression analysis lines Nr: 1260 and 1262 most approach for cultivation in wide range environments, while line Nr. 1316 most approach for cultivation in favorable conditions. The variety Dainava and Nr. 2196 good adapted for cultivation in poor environments. Kang’s stability statistic analysis has confirmed, that the lines Nr. 1316 and 1260 has best others combines parameters of stability and productivity. They combined a high DMY (13,01- 12,47 t ha-1) with a lowest (not significant) variances of stability (0,926-1,002).
