Rasa Pakeltienė is an associated professor of Bioeconomy Development Faculty of Agriculture Academy of Vytautas Magnus University (hereinafter VMU AA). In 2015 a degree of doctor of Social Science, in the Management field at VMU AA was pursued.
Since 2011 she is giving a lectures in different study cycles (Bachelor and Master) and various types of study programs (e.g. Administration and Rural Development, Environmental Management, Agri-food Business Management, Agricultural Business Management, Tourism industries, etc.).
Currently, she is a chairperson of the committee of Bachelor study programs in Tourism industries at the VMU AA, and also a member of the committee of the master study programs Business Logistics, Agricultural Economics, and Agri-food Business Management. She supervises the final works of bachelor and master studies, reviews the final theses, also doctoral dissertations, and actively participates in bachelor, master thesis, and doctoral dissertation public defense committees.
Moreover, she is an active member of various types of committees inside and outside the university. She is a member of the Council of the Faculty of Bioeconomy development, a Member of the Faculty Study Committee, and a Member of the Council of Bioeconomy research institute. She has a complex of knowledge organizing scientific processes at the university level and coordinating studies. She has been working as the head of the research and art unit in the research and innovation department. Moreover, she has high skills and knowledge of study process coordination, studies regulation, and study and research networks development, establishment, and creation of new strategic partnerships, and especially developing international relations and networks.
Since September 2021, she is working as a knowledge and innovation officer at the Support Facility for ‘"Innovation & Knowledge Exchange | EIP-AGRI" / European CAP Network (in Brussels) and since March 2022 she is leading the Association for European Life Science Universities (ICA), performing as a Secretary General, chairing ICA European Board Committee.
Since 2017 she is an active member of EIP-AGRI meetings, the Strategic Work Group of the Standing Committee for Agriculture Research, Agriculture Knowledge Innovation System meetings (SWG SCAR AKIS) as well as representing the University at other international networks and working groups. Since 2018 she working as an external expert for Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects proposals evaluation.
She is editor-in-chief of the international scientific journal "Management Theories and Studies for Rural Business and Infrastructure Development". As a researcher she actively participates in the preparation of applications for national and international study and research projects, coordinating them and publishing her scientific research results/ articles in high-level scientific journals and presenting them at conferences and summits. Moreover, she is the co-author of two study books and, co-author and author of two tutor guides for master students.
