Politologijos katedra / Department of Political Science

Politologijos katedra buvo įkurta 1997 m. Socialinių mokslų fakultete. Ji 1998 m. buvo perkelta į Tarptautinės teisės ir politikos mokslų institutą, o 2000 m. – į įkurtą Politikos mokslų ir diplomatijos institutą. Politologijos katedroje organizuojamos visų trijų pakopų: bakalauro, magistrantūros ir doktorantūros studijos. Taip pat – gretutinė politikos mokslų (bakalauro) specialybės studijų programa.

The Department of Political Science is the largest department of the faculty, educating political scientists-analysts with a wide-ranging orientation who are able to adapt their knowledge in the academic and practical spheres. The major research areas of the Department of Political Science are: national minorities, the impact of ethno-political conflicts on international relations, national and international security and human rights protection, European studies.
