Abstract
Šiais laikais sunku įsivaizduoti kasdienį gyvenimą be dažniausiai naudojamų tokių šiuolaikinių komunikacinių technologijų kaip kompiuteris, internetas ar mobilusis telefonas. Šios komunikacijos priemonės tapo gyvenimo rutina, ypač tarp jaunimo. Pagrindinis darbo tikslas – ištirti jaunimo požiūrį į šiuolaikines komunikacijos technologijas. Siekiant įvertinti jaunimo požiūrį į šiuolaikines komunikacijos technologijas buvo atlikta anketinė apklausa. Tyrimo tipas – pasirinktas kiekybinis tyrimas.

These days it has become difficult to imagine our daily life without the most used contemporary communication technologies, such as a computer, the Internet, or mobile phones. These means of communication have become routine, especially among youth. The main aim of the thesis is to research how the youth views these contemporary communication technologies. In order to evaluate the youthʼs outlook, a questionnaire survey has been conducted. Type of research is quantitative research. The hypotheses raised ahead of the research were confirmed: H1 – The younger the person, the more of their free time is spent surfing the web. H2 – The younger the person, the less attention they devote to data security online and in social networks.
The research has shown that the youth views the information available online that is provided by contemporary communication technologies as threatening in terms of it being an opportunity to use the product that is being advertised. Yet, half of the respondents, albeit seeing it as a risk, have taken advantage of said opportunity. It has also been revealed that respondents of a younger age and a lower level of education have developed a need, or perhaps an addiction, towards the Internet, computers and smartphones. A third of the respondents make no effort to protect their profiles in social networks, though admitting they are aware of the threats. Respondents also develop complex health disorders after spending time at the computer and these are also perceived as threats, nonetheless the time spent in front of the computer is not reduced and the average remains at 4 to 6 hours per day.
