Improvement of quality of transport logistics services in India on the example of the logistics company „Meythoma International“

Abstract

Object of the Research: Quality of transport logistics services in Meythoma International, India. Task of the Research: To propose strategies and decision-support methods to improve the value of transport logistics services in India. 1. To present prime importance for quality improvement in the transport logistic services in India and analyse the problematic situation in the sector based on the object company. 2. To explore the various dimensions of transport logistics service quality in India. 3. To develop a research methodology for understanding and analysing the managements and customer’s perspective on providing good quality of service. 4. To propose ideas for the administration of transport logistics companies in India to focus on quality improvement, hold down costs, business improvement strategies and measures to extend customer satisfaction. Research method: The research involves theoretical analysis of the transport logistics industry in India and the problematic situation in Meythoma International using secondary sources and primary data sources for deduction and induction. A survey analysis is done using tabular and chart representation. The research method adopted both qualitative analysis and quantitative research approach which is to acquire detailed information based on administrative employees’ and customers’ perspectives on quality of service. Research result: The analytical aspects such as the concept of the object of the study. The importance of transport logistics quality improvement, analysis of the problem situation, market and trends of transport logistics in India. The second section contains theoretical analysis of the elements of the object in study and methodological approach for the empirical study. While the third part presents the empirical research based on the outcomes of the research analysis and interpretations from the research. The last part contains the strategies for improvement of transport logistics services with focus on the quality in Meythoma International which suggests efficient improvement on employee training, customer handling and satisfaction, implementation of IT and law teams, enhancing the infrastructure of the premises. The summary, conclusion and recommendations research were presented based on final outcome of the thesis.
