Teorinėje šio darbo dalyje analizuojama sveikos mitybos (užkandžiavimo) bei A. Maslow hierarchinės piramidės fiziologinio poreikio patenkinimo reikšmė mokinių aktyviam įsitraukimui į veiklas, aktyvumą išlaikantys ugdymo aplinkų teoriniai modeliai bei vaiko amžiaus tarpsnio, viduriniosios vaikystės (7-11 m.) fiziologiniai ypatumai.
The aim of this research is to analyze the importance of healthy nutrition and healthy snacks for the active involvement of pupils into educational activities and to acquaint them with the principles of healthy eating. The pupils of the fourth grade were selected for the research in order to observe their characteristics and behavior of active involvement into educational activities before and after the introduction of healthy snacking, before or during the second learning activity. Observations and changes were recorded. The theoretical part of this work analyses the significance of healthy nutrition (snacking) and the satisfaction of physiological needs of A. Maslow’s hierarchical pyramid for pupils’ active involvement into educational activities, as well as theoretical models of educational environment maintaining educational activities and physiological peculiarities of child development, middle childhood (aged 711). During the course of the research, while recording the observed changes, it was revealed that healthy snacks before or during the second learning activity had a positive effect on the active/or more active involvement of the fourth grade pupils into educational activities, as well as they had a positive influence on the behavior and stimulated interest in healthy eating and its benefits. Based on the findings of the activity research, it is recommended not only to introduce healthy snacks between educational activities in order to achieve an active/ more active involvement of pupils into educational activities or to maintain their attention, but also to raise their interest and convince pupils that healthy, balanced diet and healthy, rational snacks have a positive effect in everyday life. The role of the teacher, active involvement in collective activities, and common pursuit of the goal are equally important.
