Abstract
Išanalizavus mokslinę literatūrą, keliamas klausimas, kokia konkurencinė padėtis Europos
Sąjungos šalių galutinių prekių eksporte įgijo 2012–2018 m. Mokslinėje literatūroje gausu tam tikrų
pramonės sričių tyrimų, nustatančių produktų grupes, turinčias konkurencinių pranašumų. Tačiau
trūksta tyrimų, skirtų išanalizuoti bendrą Europos Sąjungos vartojimo prekių konkurencingumą
pasaulio rinkose, vertinant ne tik RCA indeksą. Šio tyrimo problema yra eksporto
konkurencingumas. Eksporto konkurencingumas tiriamas jau kelis dešimtmečius, dažniausiai vienos
konkrečios šalies ir vieno konkretaus sektoriaus. Mokslininkai šią temą nagrinėja pasauliniu mastu,
pasirinktos šalys arba tyrėjo vietinės arba didžiosios eksportuotojos, kurios turi didžiausią įtaką
pasaulio ekonomikoje.
ekonomikos skatinimo programoms sudaryti. Europos Sąjungos valstybės yra gana konkurencingos
galutinių produktų eksporte ir didžioji dalis valstybių vykdydamos galutinių produktų tarptautinę
prekybą stipriai prisideda prie savo šalies ekonomikos augimo.

The analysis of the scientific literature raises the question of what competitive position in the
export of final goods of the European Union countries acquired in 2012–2018. There is a wealth of
research in the scientific literature identifying product groups with competitive advantages. However,
there is a lack of research to analyze the overall competitiveness of European Union consumer goods
in world markets, not just the RCA index. The problem of this study is export competitiveness.
Export competitiveness has been studied for several decades, usually in one specific country and one
specific sector. Researchers are exploring this topic globally, with selected countries or the
researcher’s local or major exporters having the greatest impact on the global economy. The object
of this study is the export competitiveness of finished products of the European Union, the aim of the
study is to assess the competitiveness of the European Union's exports of finished products. The
chosen research methods used are comparative analysis of scientific literature and statistical
comparative analysis using RCA and RSCA indices. The results obtained showed that the most
competitive are those countries whose total exports of all goods account for more than 50% of exports
of final goods. Malta and Slovakia have the largest comparative advantage among all European Union
countries in terms of exports of finished products. The conclusion is therefore that the established
competitiveness of the European Union's exports of finished products is very important for the
establishment of economic stimulus programs. The countries of the European Union are quite
competitive in the export of finished products, and most of the countries make a strong contribution
to the growth of their country's economy through international trade in finished products.
