The aim of the research: to evaluate microbiological contamination of buckwheat grains which were grown applying intensive and biodynamic growing technologies. The research was conducted in 2019. After harvesting, buckwheat grain samples grown in accordance with Biodynamic (Širvintos district) and intensive (Rokiškis district) growing technologies were investigated in the laboratory of UAB Eurofins Labtarna Lietuva. Taking into consideration the mycotoxins found in the analyzed samples, which were grown applying both biodynamic and intensive technologies, their levels were within acceptable limits and are therefore safe for human consumption. The findings of the research have shown that the levels of mycotoxins in both buckwheat samples were as follows: afltatoxin B1 did not exceed 1.0 μg kg-1, dexynivalenol was lower than 200 μg kg-1, ochratoxin did not exceed 2.5 μg kg-1, T-2 / HT-2 was less than 30 ppb and zearalenone was below 50.0 μg kg-1.
