Types of intrinsic motivation – general, learning and examination technique – ensure the need for safety, teaching quality and consequences. The type of extrinsic motivation ‒ learning problems ‒ shows troubles that disturb a student to study. The motivation level of students studying in Veisiejai Technology and Business School is average: students are active during the learning process however they feel worse than others and are not self confident since more than half of students believe that friends are more gifted than them, 43 students out of 80 do not avoid discussions. It is evident that boys are more motivated than girls. It can be noticed that older students (17 – 18 years old) are more motivated than younger students (15 – 16 years old). The examination technique motivation type is characteristic to Veisiejai Technology and Business School. Other types of motivation – general and learning motivation – are also characteristic to them. The learning problem motivation type (extrinsic) is more common in girls than boys. However a big part of students of both age groups have concerns and problems that hinder learning, distract them and reduce the motivation for learning.
