Fiel experiment of multifunctional crops was carried at Experimental Station of Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy in 2018–2019. Soil – Calc(ar)i-Endohypogleyic Luvisol. The main objective was to compare weed infestation in the sole, binary and trinary crops. Most common weeds in the multifunctional crops were Tripleurospermum perforatum, Chenopodium album and Sinapis arvensis. In the second year of caraway cultivation, the abundance of perennial weeds increased in the crops. During the growing year of cover crops in the binary crops of spring barley, spring wheat and peas with undersown caraway and in their trinary crops with undersown caraway and white clover the number of weed was significantly from 1.7 to 7.6 times and the dry mass of weed from 1.6 to 12.8 times higher compared to sole crops. In the second year of caraway cultivation, the highest weed abundance was found in caraway without white clover crop after barley and wheat. In the sole caraway crop dry mass of weed was significantly from 2.3 to 7.7 times higher than that in the binary and trinary crops.
