Abstract

<p>27. Stigmella trimaculella (Haworth, 1828) (new to the Crimea). (Figs 40, 41, 94). Host-plants. Populus nigra L. in the Crimea; in other regions also other species of Populus. Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Siberian; the species is widespread in Europe, also occurs in the southern Ural and Siberia (Russia: Novosibirsk). Material examined. CRIMEA: 3♂, 2♀, 31 km SW Feodosiya, Kurortnoe, mining larva on Populus nigra L., fieldwork card no. 5056, 29 –31.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus, A. Navickaitė & G. Varačinskas; 49 km S Simferopol, Alushta, empty leaf-mines on Populus nigra L., fieldwork card no. 5056, 08.viii.2011, leg. J. R. Stonis, A. Navickaitė & G. Varačinskas; 12 km N Alushta, Lavanda, empty leaf-mines, fieldwork card no. 5056, 09.viii.2011, leg. J. R. Stonis, A. Navickaitė & G. Varačinskas. Remarks. The species is not rare in the Crimea: limited in distribution but abundant.<p>
