Carpinus orientalis Mill. and Corylus avellana L. in the Crimea; in other regions also other species of Carpinus and Corylus, as well as cultivated Ostrya carpinifolia Scop. Distribution. Euro-Mediterranean; the species occurs from Spain and Ireland to Finland, central European Russia and Greece. Material examined. CRIMEA: Yalta, Mountain Forest Reserve and Botanical Garden, empty leaf-mines on Carpinus orientalis M. Bieb., fieldwork card no. 5041, 19.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus & A. The species is not rare in the Crimea: widespread and abundant.
