Abstract (en)
The Andes and the co-author A. Diškus. 256, the Andes (the world's highest mountain range outside Asia and the world's longest continental mountain range) and the Himalaya & Tibetan Plateau with Stigmella fibigeri Puplesis & Diškus, which sets the height record there at the altitude of 2950 m; 257, the Cotopaxi volcano, 5897 m; 258, volcano Chimborazo, 6268 m, the highest mountain near the Equator and the highest mountain in the Andes north of Peru. Note: the current project owes to our co-author Dr Arūnas Diškus for his collecting efforts and passion for the high-altitude Nepticulidae.
