Malus domestica Borkh. in the Crimea; in other regions also M. sylvestris Mill., occasionally Prunus spp. Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Submediterranean; the species occurs from Portugal and Ireland to Finland, the southern Ural, and Greece. Records from the Caucasus (Georgia) need to be viewed with caution (Puplesis & Diškus 2003). Material examined.
