The Impact of playing musical Instruments in electronic dance music and their role in auditory aesthetics

The thesis focuses on issues such as distinguishing the differences of common playing (by mixing tracks) and performing live, specifically in the “underground” culture, studying how live electronic music performances can be manipulated by playing instruments manually and how different it may sound in comparison to DJ’ing. This will answer what is more appreciated in a club setting and if it’s even effective in an environment where it is expected to be simplistic.
