VMU International Office and ESN VMU invite Vytautas Magnus University’s Lithuanian and international students to participate in the photo competition Best Shots of Exchange, which is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Erasmus Programme. The selected photos of the students will be exhibited from the end of April until the end of May at the university’s new coffee shop, Vero Cafe@VDU (S. Daukanto St 28).

The goal of the competition is to encourage VMU students (both Lithuanian and those who have come to VMU from abroad to study full-time, on internship or as participants of exchange programmes) to share their experiences of international exchange: this is the main subject of their photos. Persons eligible for participation are VMU Lithuanian students and international students who have participated in student exchange programmes in 2011 or 2012.

Those who want to take part in the competition are requested to send e-mails to best.shots.esn@gmail.com until 13 April, containing the following:

  • 1 to 3 photos (JPEG format, size minimum 3840×2400 pixels, no borders, logos or other captions; these have to be original photos which reflect the experience of student exchange)
  • personal data about the author: first and last name, faculty
  • country where the photo was taken
  • title and short description of the photo

Authors of the best photos will be awarded prizes during the opening of the exhibition at Vero Cafe@VDU (S. Daukanto St 28). The photos must not contain images of alcoholic drinks, nudity or offensive, immoral material.

During the opening of the exhibition, a special committee of VMU will declare the winners of the competition in the following categories: “People I met”, “Places I visited”, “Culture I experienced” and “Challenge I faced”. The winner of an additional category, “Best Shots of Exchange: Virtual Voice”, will be selected by the visitors of Facebook pages of ESN VMU and VMU on the Move.

More information about the competition is available on Facebook (ESN VMU, VMU on the Move), by e-mail at best.shots.esn@gmail.com, on the websites of VMU and ESN VMU, at the university’s faculties and on posters in the dormitories.
