Press Conference: Introduction of VMU Album and Commemorative Coin
VMU will organize a press conference on 23 April as the introduction of the commemorative coin and the VMU album/gift which are dedicated to VMU’s 25th reestablishment anniversary.
The commemorative silver coin (denomination of 50 litas) will be released in April 2014 and will have the issue limit of 3,000 units. The graphical project of its obverse and reverse was designed by graphic artist Rolandas Rimkūnas.
The VMU Album is the university’s representative gift to the guests. It is composed of 12 texts that reflect Vytautas Magnus University’s values: internationality, openness, freedom, happiness, creativity and diversity. The publication sheds some light on the ecology of the soul, the new generation of VMU, the atmosphere at the university, and the future it envisions.
The album’s texts are presented in Lithuanian and English. They are complemented by artistic photos of moments from the life of the university and the city. Text and photos divide the album into 12 sections with additional space available for making notes.
It is a poetic present we give away together with our most inspiring thoughts as a way of sharing our beliefs and inspiring people. This kind of present won’t just collect dust on a shelf: it is meant to stay at hand, on your desk, as an album where you write your brightest ideas.
