Conference on Grammatical and Lexical System of Language


On March 15-16, international conference Grammatical and Lexical system of Language, Aspects of Its Functionality and Standardization will be held in Riga by the Faculty of Humanities’ Department of Latvian and General Linguistics and the Department of Baltic Linguistics at the University of Latvia.

This year’s conference is dedicated to the 100th birthday anniversary of the prominent Latvian linguist Prof. Arturs Ozols (1912-1964). Themes of the conference is associated with the folowing research priorities of Prof. Ozols: grammatical system of language, vocabulary, history of Standard language variety, language standardization and teaching methodology of the native language. 

Conference languages are Latvian, Lithuanian and English. Participation costs 10 lats (including coffee breaks).
