AYOL Organized Competition of Presentations

On 28 March, the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Lithuania (AYOL) organized Azerbaijan On My Mind, a competition of presentations by Lithuanians and foreigners about the country of Azerbaijan. VMU student Elena Maria Gužauskaitė won the second place in the contest. The competition was initiated by AYOL member Rovshan Jamalov, VMU Finance and Banking student from Azerbaijan.

The event was held with the financial support of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation. More than 50 participants from Lithuania‘s universities, including VMU, competed in the contest.

“This is my first project here in Kaunas, which gathered a lot of local and international students from Vilnius and Kaunas. During my master studies, I will try to help and support the establishment of friendship between Lithuania and Azerbaijan with projects like this”, the project’s organizer Rovshan Jamalov explained.

The main goal of this project was to learn the ideas of foreigners about Azerbaijan. “It is a great pleasure to see and to hear such ideas about Azerbaijan from foreigners and especially the Lithuanian people”, says Jamalov.

The visitors of the exhibition could taste Azerbaijani sweets, listen to traditional music and find out more about the people and culture of Azerbaijan from Lithuanian and foreign students.
