Abstract: The article looks into the importance of educational methods applied during the lesson for the development of entrepreneurship abilities that contribute to the pupils' entrepreneurship competence. The research was led out among general school pupils of the fifth, sixth, and seventh the pupils' learning particularities while applying the practical work, role-play and co-operation methods as well as the combination of practice and co-operation methods were analysed. The data was collected through the analysis of the class-reflection reports that the pupils filled in after every lesson. The data was analysed using content analysis method. The results of the research allow claiming that the application of educational methods has a direct link with the development of a student's abilities. Fields of abilities contributing to the entrepreneurship competence, such as initiative, responsibility, independence, conscious and deliberate choice, openness for change and professional orientation, unfold while applying methods that encourage cognitive and emotional activeness controlled by the pupil him / herself. The methods that were analysed by this method, namely, co-operation and role-play, emphasise learning through action, intensity interpersonal relations among pupils and urge to take interest in the results of the activity of others. The pupils tend to focus on the learning activity rather than the content of the subject when these methods are applied, therefore the acquisition of the subject knowledge should be taken into particular consideration here. The role-play method creates more intensive emotional background, deeper experiences of joy and disappointment. The application of the method stimulates creative joy, a wish for the experience to reoccur, which encourages considerations of the future professional activity
