Abstract: Investigations were carried out during 2011-2012 in the laboratory of Agrobiotechnology of Aleksandras Stulginskis University. Cannabis sativa hypocotyls can form callus and in culture medium without growth regulators. In the presence of cytokinins or auxins only, the highest mean value of callus formation was observed on medium supplemented with 0.5 mg P NAA. The growth regulators combination 1.0 mg P NAA + 5.0 mg P KIN was the most suitable on callus formation frequency from hemp hypocotyls
