Abstract: Žemė yra pati svarbiausia gamybos priemonė žemės ūkyje. Optimaliau naudojant žemės išteklius, didėja bendrasis visuomeninis produktas, nacionalinės ir ūkininko pajamos, žemės naudojimo ekonominis efektyvumas. Straipsnyje išnagrinėti ir įvertinti žemės išteklių naudojimo rezultatai ir efektyvumas Lietuvos ūkininkų ūkiuose 2003–2010 metais
Land is a residental place, main resource of agricultural and forestry production, resources of stocks for industrial sector, teritory for business. Total national product, national and farmer‘s income increase is available up to rational use of land resources. Farmers incure lower production intensity and growth rate with the same land resources. Aim of research is focused on analysis and assessment of farming results and effectiveness by using land resources, to reveal the possibilities these requirements. Lithuanian farmers have the prevaling position in using land resources. The plot of agricultural land covers 2616,6 thousand hectares of space for private farming in the beggining of 2010. Private land in structure of farmers‘ land property framed by 60.5 percent in 2009, phisical entities and statement tenement – 39.5 percent. Agricultural land usage is improving. Private farms are the main producers of plant production. Total plant production scope of private farming was framed in 81,6–87,4 percent of total production scope in 2003–2009, and this activity is growing up. Results of agricultural land use depend on farming area. Most productive use of agricultural land was fixed in horticulture (fruit and vegetable) farms, least – in dairy and eco production farms according total production scope pro rata 656 and 678 Lt. Economical efficiency of agricultural lands in private farms during analysed period decreased
