Abstract: Research of the corn cob bending force between two supports and a displacement of the bending die depending on the distance between the supports is presented. Also the force and the deformation of vertical and radial compression of corn cobs were investigated. Two rates of the cob moisture are used in the experiment: 9.5 % and 37.3 %. It is found, that the force of cob breaking in bending ascends with a descending a distance between the supports, but the deformation of the corn cobs do not depends on the distance between the supports. It is also found that the vertical compression force of wet corn cobs is less than the compression of dry cobs. The deformation of the compression is bigger for the wet cobs. The same is noticed in the radial compression of the cobs. Vertical compression resistance in the length of the cob increases from the top (1200 N) to the bottom (2500 N)
