Abstract: The article aims to relieve sacred aspects of the most important development phases in aesthetic ideas about the classic order according to ancient architects treatises. The oldest work known concerning rules of architecture was the ten-volume De Architectura (On Architecture) by Vitruvius. Besides other rules, the book told of kind of orders, which were supposed to use in temples devoted to different gods. Architectural theorist of Renaissance pointed theories of order origin towards Christian trend. Antonio di Pietro Averlino (Filarete) related propertions of the Doric order to Adam, who had the most perfect forms because God had created him. [...]
