dc.description.abstractProblema. Ankstyvojoje paauglystėje įvaizdžio kūrimas per išorinius atributus tampa ypač reikšmingas ir net viena išvaizdos detalė gali lemti, ar paauglys bus pripažintas, ar atstumtas savo bendraamžių. Šiuo metu vieni madingiausių pasaulyje išvaizdos elementų – auskarai. Juos veriasi vis jaunesnio amžiaus asmenys, o vėrimosi vietos tampa vis įvairesnės.Taigi šiuo tyrimu keliamas tikslas: išsiaiškinti auskaro reikšmę bendraamžio mokinio asmenybės ir elgesio charakteristikų suvokimui. Metodika. Tyrime dalyvavo 148 šeštos klasės mokiniai iš dviejų Kauno miesto vidurinių mokyklų. 52,7 % (78) berniukų ir 47,3 % (70) mergaičių, amžiaus vidurkis – 12,32 metų. Tiriamiesiems buvo pateiktas vaizdinis stimulas ir klausimynas. Trys paauglio (6 klasės mokinio) nuotraukos naudotos kaip vaizdinis stimulas: be auskaro, su auskaru antakyje ir su auskaru lūpoje. Klausimyną sudarė teiginiai, skirti mokinio nuotraukoje akademiniam pažangumui, socialiniam ir +ziniam patrauklumui, tinkamo – netinkamo elgesio suvokimui įvertinti. Rezultatai. Mokinys be auskaro vertinamas kaip geriau besimokantis, +ziškai patrauklesnis, tinkamiau besielgiantis nei mokinys, turintis auskarą lūpoje. Be to, mokinys su auskaru antakyje suvokiamas kaip +ziškai patrauklesnis už mokinį su auskaru lūpoje. Tyrimo duomenų analizė parodė, kad mergaitės labiau norėtų bendrauti su mokiniu, turinčiu auskarą antakyje, negu su mokiniu be auskaro ar su mokiniu, turinčiu auskarą lūpoje. Išvados. Auskaras– svarbus asmens suvokimui. Skirtingas paauglio su auskaru lūpoje ir su auskaru antakyje vertinimas rodo auskaro vietos įtaką asmens suvokimuilt
dc.description.abstractBackground. Impression management through physical appearance becomes particularly signi+cant in early adolescents. Even a single detail may result in peer acceptance or non-acceptance. Currently piercing has become one of the most popular appearance detail broadly spread among young individuals and it vary widely according to the placement. Therefore the purpose of this study was to investigate the piercing in0uence on the perceived peer adolescent personality and behavior characteristics. Methodology. Participants of the study were 148 6th grade students from two Lithuanian schools. 52.7% (78) males and 47.3% (70) females, mean age = 12.32. Visual stimulus and questionnaire were given to participants. 3 photographs of adolescent (6th grade) were used for the visual stimulus: without piercing, with pierced lip, and pierced eyebrow. The questionnaire was designed to assess a student’s in a presented picture academic skills, physical and social attractiveness, and appropriate – inappropriate behavior. Results. Student without piercing was perceived as having better academic skills, more attractive physically and behaving more appropriately compared to lip pierced student. Moreover, student with an eyebrow piercing was judged as more attractive physically than student with lip piercing. In addition, data analysis showed that girls would like to communicate with student having an eyebrow piercing more compared with student having lip piercing or without piercing. Conclusion. The piercing has an in0uence on individual’s perception.
