Abstract
(imtinai) amžiaus moterys labiau patenkintos santykiais su kitais žmonėmis nei nesavanoriaujančios to paties amžiaus moterys. Abiejų amžiaus grupių savanorių moterų emocinės būsenos, subjektyviai vertinamos sveikatos ryšiai su su sveikata susijusia gyvenimo kokybe yra teigiami, stiprūs, statistiškai reikšmingi. Tikimybę savanorystei didina emocinės būsenos kintamasis; mažina - subjektyviai vertinamos sveikatos per 12 mėnesių kintamasis.
The aim of the study was to explore the features of older volunteer women‘s health-related quality of life. The study included 66 elderly women, who have been voluntary working in non-governmental organizations in Kaunas and Vilnius. Women’s age was selected from 46 to 82 years. In order to form a control group, the target selection was applied; the selection criteria were age and education. There were 70 women in the control group. For the purposes of this research, a Lithuanian version of life quality questionnaire of World Health Organization (WHOQOL -100) was used. The results of the research demonstrated that the health-related quality of life of volunteer women younger than 60 years (inclusive) and 61-70 years old is similar, whereas the health-related quality of life of volunteer women over 71 is decreasing and statistically significantly differs from younger volunteers’ health-related quality of life. The health-related quality of life of volunteer women in all age groups does not differ from non volunteer women’s health-related quality of life. The health-related quality of life of volunteer women with the higher education is better than women’s with the lower education in all age groups, but it is no different from the health-related quality of life of non volunteer women with the same educational level. Under 65 years old volunteer and non volunteer women similarly evaluate satisfaction from social relationships and social support. Over 65 years old (inclusive) volunteer women are more satisfied with the relationship with other people than non volunteer women of the same age. The emotional state, subjectively evaluated health connections with the health-related quality of life in both age groups of volunteer women are positive, strong, and statistically significant. The probability of volunteering is increased by the variable of the emotional state; it is decreased by the variable of the subjectively evaluated health during 12 months.
