Abstract
This undergraduate work explores the World Health Organization's activities in analyzing the following three cases: the Ebola outbreak in West Africa in 2014-16, the spread of the Zika virus in the American region in 2016, and the Coronavirus outbreak in China in 2019, which quickly began to spread beyond the country's borders and became an international threat to human health, as well as the main challenges the WHO faced in responding to outbreaks and improving health accessibility. The work presents the history and importance of international organisations in the international system, how international organizations are working and why states join organisations. The work examines the activities of the World Health Organisation in the case of Ebola, Zika and Coronavirus. The work is valuable in that an analysis of WHO's activities in certain cases (Ebola, Zika and Coronavirus) helps to assess the benefits and implications of the World Health Organisation on the international stage.
