This paper provides an overview of possibility for reduction tractor's fuel consumption and slippage of driving wheels in real operating conditions. Analysis of tractor slippage and fuel consumption reduction methods and tools were done during ploughing operation. A soil physical and mechanical property varies much, therefore value of driving wheels slippage and fuel consumption tractor has to be determined experimentally. Accredited, that dependence of driving wheel slippage must be taken in account for evaluation its influence on tractor aggregate fuel consumption at any work condition. Driving wheel slippage and fuel consumption investigation results during ploughing operation applications were carried out using a tractor "FORD 8340" and plough „KONGSKILDE VARIANT - S". During investigation the extra weights (from 0 to 520 kg) at the front of the tractor and air pressure (from 2,5 to 1,5 bar) in the tyres driving wheels was changed. During investigation tractor ran turned on and off with the front drive axle in 3Hth gear and at 1610 ±20 min"1 engine speed Tractor work parameter, tyre air pressure in driving wheels and extra weights of front tractor dependence analysis results was presented. Experimentally reasoned optimal values of front tractor extra weight and tyre air pressure of driving wheels, which has an influence to suitable 7-15% slippage of driving wheels and minimum fuel consumption during the ploughing operation application.

The feasibility of the co-fermentation of sugar beet silage with maize silage within a holistic energy strategy for a novel type greenhouse is investigated. Therefore, the influence of organic dry matter total solids (dTS) of sugar beet as part of a substrate blend with maize is analysed. A synergy effect and the advantages of co-fermentation of sugar beet with maize silage compared to mono-fermentation of sugar beet could be observed in the study.

The objective of the study was to develop an ethanol mixture with the lowest possible concentration and to use that mixture as additional fuel. The purpose was to motivate the farmers to produce local alternative fuels without using any rectification or blending processes. The study also dealt with potential methods for adjusting, at minimal cost, a common agricultural small tractor in order to use ethanol fuels. The article describes and analyzes the experimentally obtained characteristics of a diesel engine exhaust gases, when it is used simultaneously with two fuels, diesel and bioethanol from different concentrations. The purpose of this study was to find minimum concentration of bioethanol mixture, which allows satisfactory engine operation in the overload area of test plan. Ethanol fuels EF 90; EF 80; EF 70 and EF 60 were used for performing by engine testing. The analysis of combustion process in the engine indicates that introduction of different fuels in combustion process by qualitative and quantitative method is acceptable in technical terms. As far as the selection of ethanol fuel is concerned, 60% fuel does not cause significant deterioration of engine operation or increase the amount of other hazardous compounds in exhaust gases. It is recommended to use a 60% ethanol fuel as minimum concentration in addition to regular diesel fuel so that the ethanol fuel would comprise up to 60% of the entire fuel amount used by medium load of engine.

The experimental bench tests of a four-stroke, four-cylinder, water-cooled Otto engine Volkswagen Passat 1,8 1 show that the effective power could be increased emd harmful emissions of the exhaust significantly reduced by using environment friendly and renewable ethanol-petrol blends. Engine effective Power can be increasedfrom 21,9 kW to 23,1 kW (by 5,5%) when operating on blend ElOat 70% opened throttle and low 1500 rpm speed. Whereas at a higher25M> rpm speedy the nower output nearly 1 % higher developed less oxygenated blend E5 at 70% position opened throttlZ The carbon monoxide CO emission can be effectively reduced bv 55 3% when using blend E15 and carbon dioxide CO, emission can be alsore-duced by'll,5%, when usmg blend E5, by operating at high 2500 rpm speed. Whereas, the HC emission the most (by 57,9%) decreases when using less oxygenated (3,48% oxygen) blend E10.
