    IFOAM 2000: the world grows organic. Proceedings 13th International IFOAM Scientific Conference, Basel, Switzerland, 28 to 31 August, 2000. Basel, 2000, p. 301
    Research in Lithuania on the influence of farming systems on production and quality of barley, winter wheat and sugarbeet is outlined. Overall crop yield was 27% lower in organic than in conventional systems. Barley yield was affected most, being only 61% of conventional yields. Quality of wheat cv. Zentos grain was higher in the conventional than the organic system, whereas sugarbeet quality was higher in organic systems.
