    Research in Lithuania on the influence of farming systems on production and quality of barley, winter wheat and sugarbeet is outlined. Overall crop yield was 27% lower in organic than in conventional systems. Barley yield was affected most, being only 61% of conventional yields. Quality of wheat cv. Zentos grain was higher in the conventional than the organic system, whereas sugarbeet quality was higher in organic systems.
