Accompaniment II
Description
The main discipline of performing art specialization, designed for the comprehensive education of the pianist- accompanist. The purpose of this learning discipline to develope and enrich skills of interpretation, improve technical capabilities, expand the repertoire, to carry out musical activities. Content of studies- search for individual interpretation, understanding the specifics of the accompaniment, formation of the pianistic/ artistic maturity. In the second semester it is expected to study the string instruments works of different epochs, styles and national schools, to recognize specific features of genre, pianistic and orchestral texture, to analyze musical dramaturgy, to understand the specifics of working with string instruments.
Aim of the course
To prepare highly qualified pianist- accompanists, who are able to realize the highest level of creative ideas, to foster artistic mastery and stage partnership.
Prerequisites
The student must have taken the study subject of accompaniment specialization (1) and passed exam.

Assesment Criteria
In string concertos the interpretation of the accompaniment is convincingly presented, the principles of composing forms of the work, the interaction of the elements of the musical language are understood, the specifics of the original text are evaluated, sight reading to recognize piano or orchestral texture, genre specific features.
