Holocaust Training Seminar to Be Held in Kaunas 2011-05-16 14:43 (Read: 537)

The Embassy of the United States in Lithuania, Vytautas Magnus University and the Vilna Gaon Jewish State Museum are inviting students and researchers to take part in a training seminar about the Holocaust on 13-17 June in Kaunas.

During the seminar, scientists from abroad and Lithuania will analyse the issue of the Holocaust in Europe and Lithuania. Also, Holocaust training methodologies will be presented and museums at the 9th Fort and the Sugihara House will be visited. The preliminary schedule of events is available here.

The costs of tours and meals will be covered by the seminar’s organisers. Certificates will be awarded after the seminar.

Those wishing to participate in the seminar are welcome to register by sending e-mail to sigita.zematyte@fc.vdu.lt until 3 June. Please indicate your first and last name, faculty, study level or academic degree and describe briefly why you would like to take part in the seminar.

The selected applicants will be contacted until 6 June.
