Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) follows the policy of liberal arts that allows students to make their study plans as well as to decide which subjects to study and when. They are granted the opportunity to move from one study programme to another or to change their mode of studies. With the diploma of the Bachelor’s major, VMU students can also acquire a certificate of parallel BA studies, which enables them to later apply for a Master‘s degree in a different field of studies.
Lectures and seminars at Vytautas Magnus University take place in well-equipped modern auditoriums, laboratories, and institutes. Nine reading rooms offer more than 400 working places, many of them computerized and equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. 95 percent of all university spaces have a high-speed wireless Internet connection. VMU students have the opportunity to reside in three dormitories that offer the housing of more than 800 rooms. VMU is also a disabled-friendly university, offering favorable conditions of studies and environment for the disabled.
